Hello Everyone!
Just a little update from Popeye and his foster family. We all had a busy week here with Charlie getting surgery, but he's doing very well! And having Popeye around for it is not all bad because he gets to keep his foster sister company. Since Charlie needs lots of R&R, Popeye and Pepper have become quite the pair. They follow each other everywhere and lay together! Popeye also traveled to Towson to look for his new forever home, but no such luck. :[ !! Anyways heres some photos from the week/weekend. Adopt Popeye!!

Popeye would like you all to know his foster brother is having surgery tomorrow for a torn ACL and meniscus. So he's going to need lots of R&R, which means Popeye wants to get adopted soon so he can be the one getting all the attention!! He really enjoyed it just being him and Pepper (his foster sister) today, but he knows his foster family is anxious to have Charlie back home and on his way to recovery! First Post - YAY !!

Hey Everyone!
This blog is for my foster pups! I normally foster small breed dogs through Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Lucky dog is a DC based animal rescue; we get most of our dogs from rural shelters in the south who don't have room in their shelters for all the dogs, and do not adopt out to the public. So we bring them up and put them into foster care! Fostering is really good for the dogs because it helps them learn how to live in a house and work on certain training if they need it. Now I'd like to introduce everyone to Popeye !!

Popeye is a one year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix. He's a total love bug!! 

I was told that he was bounced around a lot as a puppy so he hasn't been given the proper social from people or other dogs. However, he' with me now so thats all changing! When I first got Popeye he was very scared and not nice to my other dogs. He took over my room and if anyone dare come in he was going to bark them out! It's been about 2 weeks since that and he a totally different dog! He is very loving to my female dog, and loves to play with her. He is still picky about my male dog but he's working through it and getting much better. He also now knows how to sit and lay! He's grown very fond of my sister and she taught him that in a matter of days. Popeye would also like you to know that he hasn't had any accidents in our house and does very well in his crate! He loves his toys and is even working on sharing them with other pups! Popeye goes on a 3 mile walk every day and eats two meals a day. 

As his foster mom I personally think he would do better in a house with no other dogs or an owner who is dog savy and willing to work with a trainer with him. He does great with kids at events and loves to cuddle real close to you. Here are some more photos of him and stay tuned for more updates on his progress!!
